The old Drill Hall which later became the doctors surgery, it is now a car park.

The Forge which opened in 1922 and is next to the George hotel which is reported to be the oldest inn in the area |

It was usually called "the smithy" rather than the forge. The pub is called the George Inn rather than Hotel. It is certainly the oldest pub on the street. |
