I think you mean the east section of the stadium rather than the track or they couldn't race. The goalposts are interesting too. |

First meeting held 2 June 1928 on a 525 yard circuit. A handful of speedway meetings were held that June and July but despite a number of proposals over the years the noise issue has kept the bikes away. |
