Seem to have made steam injectors rather than locomotives. |

Would it be possible to use this image for an exhibition we are running locally next year to commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of World War One? Several of the casualties on the war memorials worked here. Cheers |

Bottom Left building has "Injector works" steam injector possibly? - railway top right. |

This is Stockport Road, Romiley looking eastwards. The works in the centre with the tall chimney is the Spring Water Dye Works, and the works on the right is the Davies and Metcalfe Injector Works. The grid reference for the Methodist Church just beyond the dyeworks is SJ 93937 90803. |

Spot on tarboat - thanks I noticed they've named the roads on the site after Metcalfe and Davies now |

Dear tarboat, That’s great; we’ve reviewed your comment and thanks to your help we can update the catalogue. The original Aerofilms Ltd Register says "Factory ? Location" and they had previously been flying over Walton-on-Thames, so your identification is fantastic. The revised record will appear here in due course. Hope you have the same success solving some of our other mysteries! Katy Whitaker Britain from Above Cataloguer |
