Later model tender with revolving coal storage

These locos didn't have a "tender". They had two power bogies, with the boiler and the cab hung between them. Basicly one bogie carried the water supply and the other, at the cab end, the coal. The first locos built had a long open coal bunker which meant that the fireman had to climb inside to shovel coal forwards. The later locos had a revolving tapered drum which moved the coal forwards. The early batch of locos was then modified to have a revolving drum.
