This is the Tickhill Light Railway, otherwise known as the Bawtry to Misson Branch. Conceived as a through line to Haxey it was severed beyond Misson very early on and for most of its life was worked as a dead-end branch line from the Bawtry end. We can see it passing underneath the road close to the school.
