Midland and South Western Railway station on the line from Cheltenham to Swindon. The Great Western Branch from Kemble is not in this picture, being to the left / northwest.

This was the Midland and South Western JUNCTION Railway, so-called because when proposed it intended to connect with those two railways (the Midland, and the London & South Western). In reality, it never connected directly with the Midland, instead using the Great Western to do so between Andoversford and Cheltenham. At the time this photo was taken, it had been absorbed into the Great Western Railway.
