Apparently infilled and created using debris from the digging of the Finnart St. railway tunnel. The park became RAF Greenock during WWII - a seaplane base. |

On the left edge of the frame is a long building in Shore Place which was the Gourock tram depot.Later it was Montgomerys garage.I lived above it till 1964.Now site of Eastern View. |

The white two roofed building was the new bus garage of Harold Whatmanoughs Gourock Pullman bus service.Taken over by Western SMT on its formation in 1932 .Remained a bus depot till the mid 1950s.I remember it Gourock motors in the 1970s. |
