Young's Eel & Pie House, it was to becomes Burroughs (also of Lambeth Walk) in the post war years, it survived the riots of 1981 (next door was gutted by fire) and closed in the mid 1990s (on the right of the gutted building here in this picture).

Brixton Independent Church. Extensively damaged during Worid War 2 and refurbished as a RC Church in the 1950s.

Brixton Greyhound Stadium, opened in 1932 as an official greyhound track (British Greyhound Tracks Control Society-BGTCS). BGTCS disbanded in 1935, and Brixton operated as a "Flapping Track" until closure in 1939.

This picture shows Trinity Gardens with the complete south side of houses and also properties extending along both sides of Brighton Terrace before all this property was demolished and replaced with Lambeth Council housing in, I think, the early 1960s.

43 Bellefields Road, next to Queen Pub. I was living there in May 1941 when it and the whole terrace was badly damaged by the blast of the bomb that hit the Quin & Axten store behind. The houses were renovated after the war and are still standing.
