In the foreground is where the Sunray Estate in Tolworth now is, and I can identify almost exactly where my house in Knollmead now stands. Obviously it was literally still fields in those days, but the line of trees approx 3 fields back is where the railway line (built c1939) is now located, afterwhich are the sports fields owned by The River CLub (was Maori (P&O) when I was younger. |
