Looks like E.M.U's (Electric Multiple Units) awaiting the rush hour.

This little building to the right of the art deco one is Young's Eel & Pie House, it was to becomes Burroughs (also of Lambeth Walk) in the post war years, it survived the riots of 1981 (next door was gutted by fire) and closed in the mid 1990s. No 426 Coldharbour Lane.

These Platforms closed as long ago as 12.7.1925. Here in 1950 they still have a canopy on the Denmark Hill line.

Looks like a 2-8-0 Class WD Austerity.

Camberwell Station. It had closed to passengers back in 1916.

V1 bomb site on both sides of Effra Parade - now Brockwell Park Estate. VI exploded 04.06 on the morning of 19/07/44 The V1 devastated the area around the Effra Parad/Dalberg Road junction. 12 houses were demolished and 40 badly damaged. The area today has been totally re-developed with flats.

V1 damaged Royal Oak pub (Cannon Brewery beers) on corner of Effra Parade and Dalberg Rd.
