' Station approach which the local children rode down on their hand made bogies which they had made out of old timber and pram wheels. This approach was the only one for miles around which enabled the Post Office vans to deliver and collect mail bags directly from the trains as they arrived at the station. As children we would help load the station mail truck with the mail bags whist the train was standing in the station. Information supplied by the Globe Lane Pals '
