' Garden Walls to South, to West and to North of Kirby Knowle Castle, Kirby Knowle Grade 2 listed - English Heritage Building ID: 332565 Garden walls. Probably C17 (as house) with C19 and C20 rebuildings and additions. Coursed squared stone with chamfered coping, varying in height. To the north of the house the wall steps up either side of a wide entranceway. The wall terminates at its west end in a later pier with chamfered top and ball and cushion finial; at its east end it turns southwards towards the house with a later wide archway, and runs at a low height parallel with the house north front. '
