The Tharsis Company Reservoir which was left unfenced after the company moved out of the town. It was a deep reservoir with brick lined sides that sloped steeply so a death trap for non swimmers. About the time of this photo a lad called Colquhoun drowned in it & he was only about 7 yrs old. '
