1643 made ruinous following a Civil War siege.

1879 gutted by fire and had to be rebuilt, although many of the old walls were retained.
1885 Lees made their own additions after they bought it
They commissioned renowned architects Paley and Austin and the interiors were designed by Gillows.
1999 bought by Lancashire Homes who developed it into 12 properties/apartments. '
