' Park View. This row of twelve houses faced (across the river) what was at one time a floral garden. When I lived there at No 7.(1936-1954) however this was used by the council as a dump for road repair materials etc. and as a site for travelling funfairs and cicuses. The Remploy factory was built on this site and the funfairs moved to the top of Glandwr Street on a site known locally as the "red ash" at the entrance to Abertillery park. '
