' Relatively new all steel 16 ton mineral wagon. These were built as long overdue replacements for the thousands of life expired wooden 10 ton mineral wagons, many of which were over forty years old. Unfortunately the working life of the steel wagons was not so long as the coal trade either slipped away or vehicles were superseded gravity discharge wagons. '
