' The White Lion Public House, which was badly damaged by the Zepperlin bombing raid of 8th September 1915. The building was demolished and a Inland Revenue Office was but on the site in Art Deco style, this has now closed. The postcard was produced by H. C. Cave who's studio can be seen a few houses up from the White Lion. '
