' Regent Cinema Built as the Opera House in 1883 and renamed Theatre Royal in 1908. This closed in 1934 to allow internal reconstruction and was re-opened in 1935 as the Regent Cinema. This continued until its closure in 1962. For short time afterwards it was used as a Bingo Hall before being taken over by Regent Garage. In 1978, Regent Garage moved to new premises in Station Approach and by 1984 it had become derelict. It was demolished in the extensive reconstruction of the frontage on Regent Grove and Livery Street at it's rear. '
