Lock 55 or Rising Sun Lock on the Grand Union Canal, this lock is the other half of "Sweeps Two" Locks with Raven's Lane Lock (see note on Ravens Lane). The area around this lock is today (2013) looked after by the landlords of the Rising Sun Lock with Friend's of the Rising Sun who volunteer for the Canal & River Trust charity to keep the canal tidy and the lock smartly painted. '
