' This is Ferry Lane Bridge and marks the former boundary point at which the Walthamstow Electric Tramways terminated from 1903-1936(trolleys extended further eastwards). There could never be any agreement betwixt Walthamstow & Tottenham councils 'who' should foot the bill to join the two sections of tramways from this bridge to the Tottenham system. So for decades passengers had to walk it! '
