' St Michaels Church, now a museum as Chester History and Heritage Centre. On the site of an earlier church. Almost completely rebuilt 1582, widened 1678, steeple built 1710. Usual 19th century major rebuilding about 1850 although the 1496 chancel roof remains. Declared redundant in 1972. The "Bridge Street Row" passes through the lower level of the tower. '
