The Eardley Carriage Sidings of the former London Brighton and South Coast Railway, used in the most part for the storage of spare stock. Indeed the stock at this end of the yard seems to include a fair number of six wheelers which by this time were out of every day use. There are also a number of shorter bogie coaches. By this time most of the Brighton Main Line train had gone over to electric multiple units, which were never stored here, the sidings never having been electrified.
