' Whitehead Aircraft factory extension, opened July 1916. Aircraft components were manufactured here before being transported by road to Hanworth, near Feltham, where Whiteheads had their assembly shops. Aircraft were test flown from their adjacent aerodrome in Hanworth Park (for a short time known as 'Whitehead Park') '
