' The Narrows (also known as Coffin Line) this narrow footpath offers a direct straight route from Watling Street South area of town, over the railway footbridge to be seen in this photo, up past what is now the back of the Co-Op (where the pre-fabs are and comes out by the Kings Arms Pub. Cross the road there and you are in the churchyard of St. Laurence, Church Stretton. The nickname Coffin walk suggests that caskets were taken along this route out of sight of the shoppers on Sandford Avenue. '
