' This marks the site of a temporary railway line from the Watford-St Albans branch across to Napsbury to assist in the building of the 'London Extension' of the Midland Railway from Bedford to St Pancras in the 1860s. Used solely for delivering materials and never used for passengers. It was removed soon after the new line opened in 1868. '
