Scallys. Pub. C.1830s. Originally Rose and Crown. Rebuilt c.1880 when renamed to Prince of Wales. Partly rebuilt in 1936. Re opened in September 1937 with a modern bar and lounge and special accommodation for children. It cost £5,000. Later renamed to Scallys, a biker pub. Only surviving building in the area from before the 1960s. Now Otium Pizza Restaurant since c.2021.
