This is the line from Exmouth (off shot to the right) to Exeter Central (several miles off shot to the lower left.) The curving line which loops prominently round the left of much of this photo went from Exmouth (off shot to the right) to Budleigh Salterton then on to Sidmouth Junction.
The line to Budleigh closed in 1967, but the line to Exeter and eventually on to Barnstaple and Okehampton is still open and thriving. '
