' The original Halewood station on this line, opened in 1874 and closed in 1951. Confusingly, there was yet another Halewood station on what is now the line from Euston through Runcorn to Liverpool Lime Street. It was opened in 1852, renamed Halebank for Hale in 1874, renamed again in 1895, this time to the simpler and more accurate "Halebank". It was finally closed in 1958. '
