' Bentley Bridge, which carried the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway's Manchester Victoria to Bury line, via Prestwich Whitefield and Radcliffe, which opened in 1879. Named after Robert Bentley the first Landlord of the nearby Coach and Horses Pub whose brewery was right next to the bridge. which was demolished when the M62 (now renumbered M60) was built. The replacement three level bridge; motorway, Bury Old Road, and Railway, is now used by Manchester Metrolink trams which replaced the railway. '
