' The Enterprise. Interesting as the Tenants in 1871 was a Licensed Victualler, so a fully licenced public house, but by 1881 they onward right through WW1 & WW2 they were listed as "Beer Retailer" so a beer house not fully licenced. I wonder what happened. Needles to say as it is still open as a Hotel, it is in 2023 fully licenced. The outside has been restored and shows "Courage" branding, including their "Alton Pale Ales". '
