' It is not very clear, but is the Copperworks Reservoir that claimed the lives of at least three children. Two children from over the railway lines in Glen St area drowned early 1900s. In 1955 a boy aged 10 called Colqhoun drowned in it. I have fished for little sticklebacks in it about 1950 and it was very deep with sloping sides. Tharsis had left by then and just left derelict buildings and that unfenced 'Pond'. No health & safety then. '
