' Nos. 140-142 and 150-152 Walworth Road (c.1793-4) were built by a local architect Hurlbatt. Originally the buildings formed a terrace of 12 houses, only 7 of which survive; the others were destroyed in WWII. The remaining houses were remodelled and altered in 1978 to form the then Labour Party Headquarters. These buildings are a legible reminder of the Georgian mansions which once lined the Walworth Road. '
