' Southwark Bridge tram terminus. Situated at the junction of Queen Street Place and Upper Thames Street it had opened here in July 1925 having been extended over the river from its original terminal at Sumner Street. Six routes served this terminus : 6 - Mitcham; 10 - Tooting Broadway; 46 - Woolwich; 48 - West Norwood; 52 - Grove Park; 60 - Dulwich Library. Along with Blackfriars and Bishopsgate, the three lines being within the City boundry, they were owned by The City of London Corporation and leased to the LCC. Under Operation Tramaway the routes gradually disapeared ; 6 & 10 going on 6th January 1951 (stage 2); 60 going 10 months later on 6th October (stage 5), followed by the 48 & 52 0n 5th Jan 1952 (stage 6), and finally lasting out until the last day the 46 on the 5th July 1952.
