' The elevated goods yard was originally the site of the Bishopsgate terminus of the Eastern Counties/Great Eastern Railway until the new Liverpool Street terminus was opened in 1874. Much of the goods station structure seen here was destroyed in a massive fire in 1964. The remains lingered on until much of the site was redeveloped as part of the Overground railway extension of the East London line. '
