' The address of this house was Newcastle Shipbuilding House . My cousin's mate Davy Smith lived there. In 1919 a company calling themselves set up Newcastle ship building company but unluckily they went bust in 1921. The Plater's sheds stood empty for years and were eventually taken over by the Reay Gear Works . See the pin identifying their premises at the bottom of Prince Consort Rd. '
