Pin located at the Northern most end of Denny St, Tralee, Co. Kerry. Street named for the Denny Family who first came to the area in the guise Sir Edward Denny b.1547 - d.1599. He along with Sir Walter Raleigh were sent to Munster, the southernmost province of Ireland, by Queen Elizabeth 1 to quell the Desmond rebellion 1579-1583 for which he was granted a large amount of the Desmond lands in 1587 and their castle in Tralee. The current Denny St. was completed in 1826 on the grounds of the old castle.
