' School. I was here 1959-1964 when it was the 'Upper School' of the 'SE London Secondary Technical School' which in fact was a comprehensive rather than secondary-modern school. The GLC dropped the 'Technical' designation around 1962; I'm not clear why! (The Lower School was close to St John's railway station.) '
