' Napsbury Station - opened 1905 as a single island platform between the Up and Down Slow lines. Closed in 1959 when the local steam-powered passenger trains were replaced by Diesel Multiple Units as part of the BR 'Modernisation Plan'. After 1979, when the signal box was closed as part of the electrification scheme, the Up slow line was straightened up through the location of the box and platforms, and it is very difficult to see any trace of the station now. '
