' This building and the playground with surrounding trees to the right, was, in 1920 Cheltenham's Girls' Grammar School. During the late 1940's a new school was built in Pittville and these buildings became Pates Junior School until demolished on that school's relocation I think in the 1980s. The site now houses a poorly designed office development and all the trees have gone. '
