' 1930's Green Hat pub was built, it was later demolished in the 1980's. The bridge that still stands on the main road that ran over the narrow gauge railway for the brickyard is known as Green Hat Bridge. The new mini supermarket (Co-op) now stands in its place, the field track that runs down the back of the Co-op leads to a SSSI sight called Bull Car Mires '
