At this point a new station was built in 2010 'Dalston Kingsland' for the Overground Railway line through from Stratford.
Dalston Junction further south only took trains through from the southern section, first New Cross, and then from 2013 Crystal Palace and Croydon. This was because the Dalston 'curve' visible in this photo, which originally allowed trains from Startford to pass through Dalston Junction to Broad Street, was removed and never replaced.
A shopping centre was built over part of the goods yard. '
