' Dewsnap House and Farm. Known as Hegginbottom's Farm. The farm land was bought by Daniel Adamsons and the farm was closed about 1953. The farm worker's cottages were demolished and the old farm house was used by social services in which they placed a foster mother and family. Dewsnap House was a fine Georgian Style Hall standing in its own well appointed gardens but it has since been demolished for new housing. The main garden gate and front wall can still be seen on Dewsnap Lane just east of Ford Street. '
