This view works well with Google Earth if you manouvre it to the same height etc.The Huge Stadium where the Temperance Houses were.I bet it is not dry now! The riverside rail tracks no longer shown all clear to see in the comparison.

This picture is probably from 1932 as the station building appears to be under construction and I believe there's an inscription on the building saying it was completed in 1932.

Temperance Town. The area, comprising of; Eisteddfod Street, Gough Street, Havelock Street, Park Street, Scott Street, and Wood Street, was built in the 1860s. Adjacent to the River Taff is the Wood Street Board School (1879) and St Dyfrig’s Church (1888). The name Temperance Town derives from the fact that public houses and alcohol sale were not allowed within the area. Temperance Town was demolished in 1937.

Great Western Railway (GWR) Water Tower, with White Horse Whisky advert. Built in 1932, the Grade II listed structure, standing at 15 meters high, is currently being restored back to it's original design.
