This is Llantrisant Station showing the line from Cardiff[at the top] to West Wales [at bottom]The unfinished road [top left] is Clun Avenue and the white deposits [top right] are probably from the old iron ore minings under the Hendy which started about 1901.The field at the top is now Pontyclun Rugby Club playing field and clubhouse.The first school in Pontyclun dating from 1880 can be seentwo thirds down on the left and is now the local Medical Practice.The first cinema in the village can be seen near the line by the white house[the local vet]
