We lived at 42 Gordon Street from 1966 to 1974. Ours was a maisonette, the only terraced houses in the street then were 10 or so at the beginning of the street.

Hi Reddi. I have just joined this forum and was interested with you comments about where you lived but do not give any dates. I lived in Maxstoke St in the early 70s opposite Lucas Warehouse. as a boy we would play in Garrison Lane Park which we call Itchycoo Park. Also we would play in the Brickyard which called the Brickies.I would be interested to discuss the area further

This was the area that my wife and I knew as children growing up in the 1950s. Gordon St and Artillery St had changed from when this photo was taken, probably as a result of the war, the area between where I lived (Gordon St) and where she lived (Artillery St) has back to back houses in this pic. when we lived there the area was made up of gardens
