There is no "s" on the end of Griffith.

The firm moved out from the jewellery quarter in Birmingham in 1923 and moved into this state of the art factory. The substantial land adjoining, was used for cricket and football in season and also boasted a lawn bowls green and an air raid shelter. Some of the land was sold to The Courier Press latterly, who built offices, etc. there. HG&S was sold to a syndicate of smaller jewellery businesses in the late '60s. The syndicate did practically nothing with the it and subsequently sold the building and land. I think flats were built there. Not a day goes by when I don't remember that business with affection, and if it was in my power, I would turn the clock back and things would be different.
