The Aerofilms Collection has many photos showing housing estates under construction. But we don't know where this one is!

Hi Whittocks

I can now confirm that I have identified this photograph as the Pinner Road area of Northwood in Metroland. Please see the listing for full details.

Hi Class31, thanks for helping us with identifying this picture! Your new identification will have gone through to our Cataloguing Team who will be getting back to you in due course. I did like the sound of that Portuguese Cafe you mentioned, too ...

Yesterday I took a walk from Northwood Hills Underground Station to Northwood Underground Station walking along Pinner Road, High Street and Chester Road. It was fascinating to see how the area has built up since April 1921. Lots of small shops in the High Street. I wish I had gone in the Portuguese cafe.

View is of the same area as EPW006293 but looking southeast. We can identify roads in the identified photo on this unlocated photo. Everything fits. This is a confirmed location.

The high street with shops is at the very bottom right of the picture.

The railway line is top right, so if there's a Station here it will be well out of the picture on the right.?
