A coach with a distinctive decorative moulding on the side. Can anyone identify the operator of this vehicle?

Hi, the operators in that area when i lived there was Eastern National bus company, green with a cream coloured stripe, I lived approx 200 yards from where that bus is pictured, although my house was not built until 1956, I was born in '58

I think that it was a chord line linking to another railway line which can be seen in some of the other photos.

Hi, yes correct, it used to be called "Fanton Curve", basically it was a triangle junction onto the main Liverpool Street to Southend line, all that remains to this day is the Southminster branch line going to Wickford station, there is a siding shown in the picture that I presume used a piece of the old track. There is no evidence from modern day aerial photos of the Fanton Curve as it is all built on now, I used to play on the old trackbed when I was a child.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for taking a look at this one. You may be interested to know that the original Aerofilms Ltd Register entry reads "Edward Farr E.6.". We'll update the catalogue and post the new data here in due course.
