The Chantry, 49 High St was designed by the architect John Birch. A previous house was pulled down, and The Chantry was built between 1872-1874. It was paid form by the Rev Ravenshaw. It features in the book 'Country Architecture', published in 1874. It has ' three bedrooms, a servant's bedroom wc and linen store'. It must have had one of the first plumbed in lavatories in the country. It's extensive grounds now contain many houses.

At one point St Francis School was on the HIgh Street. It's founder bought three dilapadated cottages and re-furbished them to create a home for the little school she has begun at the Old Rectory.

This was an Edwardian Coach House - dilapidated by 2010 and then rebuilt in 2015. It was built by Maurice Mason in 1913, the solicitor of MAson and Dixon of Pewsey. He was one of the first owners of a car in Pewsey. He is recorded as having a Vermorel Car in Early Car Registrations of Pewsey

This was the doctor's surgery. Mrs Rosemary Jones told me that she remembered it flooding. Water would sweep through the back door and on the High Streer
