The former brewery buildings of of Lascells, Tickner & Co Ltd, Castle Brewery, 4 Bury Street, Guildford. Purchased by the Friary Brewery Guildford in 1926 and closed. The buildings in Bury Street & Portsmouth Road were then used by soft drinks firm Purnell & Co Ltd and eventually taken over by the Guildford Glass Works in the 1940s. The buildings were demolished in the early 1960's and replaced by offices for the Central Electricity Generating Board. Those have also since been demolished. |

Frairy Meux Ltd, Friary Brewery, Commercial Road, Guildford. Taken over by Allied Breweries in 1963 and the brewery closed 1969 and demolished 1973. The site of the Friary Brewery is now the Friary shopping centre, bus station, and associated buildings between Onslow Street and Commercial Road. |
